On February 5th & 6th, Neil Sedaka performs at the Mccallum Theatre. With countless hit singles, and platinum and gold records, Neil is recognized as one of rock and pop music’s legendary pioneers. On Wednesday, February 10th begins the Imagining the Future Series: “Sustainable Growth for the Coachella Valley: The Foundation for the S. Roy Wilson Center for Sustainable Environmental Systems”, presented by Joe Norbeck, Ph.D., Professor of Environmental Engineering, Director of the Environmental Research Institute, UCR. The lectures are free and open to the public. The lectures will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the IW Club Celebrity Ballroom, 44-500 Indian Wells Lane in Indian Wells.

The bluEmber restaurant at Rancho Las Palmas Resort in Rancho Mirage will be celebrating the entire Valentine’s weekend, February 11 through 14, with a special three-course Valentine’s Day menu for $75 per person (excluding tax and gratuity). Menu choices include favorites such as Lobster Bisque, Tuna Carpaccio, Chilean Sea Bass with Prawns and Filet Mignon. On Feb. 18th, more than a dozen Desert Hot Springs spas will open their doors and give away more than $10,000 in prizes at a new tourism event. Things will kick off with a wine and beer reception at Cabot’s Pubelo Museum, which will also include a short presentation on the community’s hot mineral spas. Coach transportation will then shuttle participants to the spas, which will provide tours and serve refreshments. The spas will also give away more than $10,000 in spa lodging and services. The event is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 the day of the event. Rapidly becoming the art gallery center of the hi-dez universe, The Joshua Tree Art Gallery, joshuatreeartgallery.com, will have a soft opening on Feb 6th, 12 - 7Pm in Joshua Tree with a grand opening in March. This is a collective gallery run by the artists themselves, it’s located next to the Joshua Tree Health Food store.
